With the hope that the disasters will come to an end these days when people have a sense of overwhelming fear and panic due to the earthquakes that occurred, İTTİHADUL ULEMA invited people to attend the collective prayer, forgiveness, and absentee funeral prayer event.

Mehmet Özer, the General-Secretary of the union invited residents to participate in the event, which will be held at July 15 Martyrs Park at 12:00 local time.

On February 6, magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes struck southern Türkiye and northern Syria.

The death toll in Turkey and Syria has passed 50,000, and many survivors are enduring near-freezing winter temperatures after having been left homeless by the earthquake in cities in both countries.  

More than 8,000 aftershocks have occurred after the devastating earthquakes, according to AFAD. (ILKHA)
