Indonesian charity donates cash aid to Hope Caravan for earthquake victims
Wahdah Islamiyah, an Islamic help organization based in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, donated cash aid to Hope Caravan Foundation for helping the earthquake-affected people in Türkiye’s southern Hatay province.
The representatives of Wahdah Islamiyah visited the soup kitchen set up by the Hope Caravan Foundation in Iskenderun, which provides hot meals to thousands of people who lost their homes in the devasting earthquake.
“We come from Indonesia to help our brothers here. We assist with the services offered here. On behalf of Wahdah Islamiyah, we would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to work here. We will continue to help your foundation,” said Dr. H. Limpah Kurnia, an official of Wahdah Islamiyah.
The soup kitchen, which was established under the coordination of the Hope Caravan Foundation, European Orphan Eli Association, Orphans Foundation, and IHO EBRAR, provides 3 meals a day to 6,000 earthquake-hit people in Iskenderun. (ILKHA)
