The amount of cow's milk collected by dairy enterprises decreased by 0.4% in December compared with the same month of the previous year and decreased by 3% in the January-December period compared with the same period of the previous year.

In December, compared with the same month of the previous year, yoghurt production increased by 9.4%, drinking milk production increased by 6%, drink made of yoghurt (ayran) production increased by 3.5%, butter production decreased by 16.7% and cheese production from cow's milk decreased by 0.9%.

In the January-December period, while butter production increased by 12.8%, drink made of yoghurt (ayran) production increased by 6.9% and yoghurt production increased by 3.8%; cheese production from cow's milk decreased by 4.5% and drinking milk production decreased by 1.7% compared with the same period of the previous year.

The amount of cow's milk collected by dairies, which was 718 thousand 139 tons in the previous month, increased by 10.9% and became 796 thousand 400 tons in December. (ILKHA)
