Tunisia launches aid campaign via SMS for Türkiye earthquake victims
Tunisian Social Affairs Ministry has launched a humanitarian aid campaign via short massages to help the victims of the earthquake that killed about 29,000 people in Türkiye and Syria.
“GSM companies operating in the country, including Tunisie Telecom, Ooredoo, and Orange, have supported the aid campaign launched for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria,” the ministry said in a statement.
“The citizens who want to make donations for earthquake victims can send their donations via a short message (SMS),” the ministry added.
On Thursday, the Tunisian government announced it had launched an aid campaign to help thousands of people affected by Monday’s deadly earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria.
“With special permission given by the presidency, we invite all Tunisians, especially our citizens residing abroad, to donate for those affected by the devastating earthquake that hit the two brotherly countries Türkiye and Syria," the government said in a statement. (ILKHA)
