Mother, son rescued from rubble 101 hours after Türkiye’s earthquake
A mother and her son were rescued early Friday from rubble 101 hours after an earthquake hit southern Türkiye.
Emergency personnel conduct a rescue operation to save 30-year-old Sabahat Varlı and her 10-year-old son Serhat from the rubble of a collapsed building in Diyarbakır, southeastern Türkiye, where they have been trapped since Monday.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, officials said.
At least 17,674 people were killed and more than 72,000 injured in 10 provinces after two strong earthquakes in Türkiye. (ILKHA)
