Palestine launches blood donation campaign for victims of the earthquake
Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip participated in a blood donation campaign launched in support of the victims of the earthquake in Türkiye and Syria.
The campaign was launched by the International Federation of Red Crescent Society (IFRC) in its headquarters in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday for two days to help the victims of the earthquake.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) rescue teams managed on Wednesday to find two Palestinian survivors under the rubble of a building in the Al-Raml refugee camp in the Syrian Lattakia Governorate.
The PRCS teams rescued the two Palestinian refugees Jana Al-Rinu and Hala Al-Rinu who have been under the rubble for three days due to the earthquake that struck Türkiye and Syria.
More than 16,000 people were killed and thousands of others were wounded in the earthquake that shook southern Türkiye and northern Syria, while hundreds of families are still trapped under the rubble.
72 Palestinians have been killed in Syria and Türkiye due to the earthquake, 12 of whom passed away in Al-Raml camp, according to the foreign affairs ministry of the Palestinian national authority. (ILKHA)
