Türkiye earthquake: 12-year-old girl rescued from rubble after 42 hours
A 12-year-old girl was rescued from the rubble on Tuesday, 42 hours after the 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit southern Türkiye and northern Syria.
Aysima Inal was removed from the rubble of a building in Malatya province by the firefighters of Elazığ Municipality.
At least 5,400 people were killed and about 30,000 others injured in 10 provinces after two strong earthquakes of 7.7- and 7.6-magnitudes hit southern Türkiye.
The World Health Organization warned that those numbers are likely to increase as much as eight times, as rescue teams find more victims in the rubble. (ILKHA)
