Heavy snowfall and cold weather conditions are expected to disrupt air, land, and marine traffic and paralyze daily life in Istanbul.

At least 238 flights to and from Istanbul Airport have been temporarily halted due to heavy snowfall and cold weather conditions in the city.

“Attention passengers departing from/arriving to İstanbul; Due to the adverse weather condition expected on February 5, 2023, flights departing from/arriving to İstanbul Airport may be canceled within the framework of the restriction decision of the competent authorities.,” Turkish Airlines wrote on Twitter.

The airliner also urged passengers to check the current flight status of their flights. (ILKHA)
