Türkiye summons Danish ambassador over permission for burning of Holy Quran
Turkish Foreign Ministry has summoned Denmark’s ambassador to Ankara over permission of burning the Muslim holy book Quran on Friday.
According to diplomatic sources, the ministry conveyed to the Ambassador that Ankara strongly condemns Denmark for allowing this provocative act, which is a clear hate crime, and that this attitude of Denmark is unacceptable.
Türkiye also asked Denmark not to allow the act of the far-right provocateur planned in Copenhagen on Friday.
Last week, Paludan burnt a copy of the Noble Qur’an at the Turkish embassy in Stockholm, causing backlash from Muslim countries across the world. (ILKHA)
