A massive power outage in Pakistan left 220 million people without electricity on Monday.
“According to initial reports, National Grid went down at 7.34 a.m. local time, causing a widespread breakdown in the power system. System maintenance work is progressing rapidly,” the country’s Ministry of Energy said in a statement on Twitter.
“A limited number of grids of the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) and the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) were restored,” the Ministry added. (ILKHA)
