A 4.6 magnitude earthquake strikes off Turkey's northwestern coast
The offshore quake took place off the coast of the Ayvacık district of Turkey’s northwestern Çanakkale, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.
The earthquake occurred at around 05:22 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 39.48 degrees north and a longitude of 25.868 degrees east, and a depth of 7 km.
The tremor was felt in nearby provinces, including Balıkesir, Manisa, Tekirdağ, and İzmir.
There were no immediate reports of damages or casualties after the earthquake. (ILKHA)
