Helicopter crash in Ukraine kills 18 people, including Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi
At least 18 people, Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, were killed when a helicopter crashed into a building in the Ukrainian town of Brovary near Kyiv on Wednesday.
“A helicopter has just fallen on a social infrastructure facility. We are looking for data on victims and circumstances. The State Emergency Service and all services are already in place,” Deputy Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said on Telegram.
“According to preliminary information, as of now, 17 people have died, including 2 children. There are 22 people in hospitals, 10 of whom are children,” Tymoshenko added.
The chief of Ukraine’s National Police, Ihor Klymenko, said that Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, his deputy Yevhen Yenin, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yurii Lubkovych were among those killed. (ILKHA)
