A 4.9 magnitude earthquake strikes eastern Turkey
A 4.9 magnitude earthquake struck the Sivrice district of Turkey’s eastern Elazığ province, the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency said on Sunday.
The earthquake took place at around 06:36 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 38.4893 degrees north and a longitude of 39.3161 degrees east, and a depth of 7.00 km.
The tremor was felt in nearby provinces, including Diyarbakır, Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa, Bingöl and Malatya.
There were no immediate reports of damages or casualties after the earthquake. (ILKHA)
