England set to ban single-use items like plastic cutlery, plates and trays
The government of England will ban single-use items such as plastic cutlery, plates, and trays, Environment Minister Thérèse Coffey confirmed.

“The move will help protect the environment for future generations,” Environment Secretary Thérèse Coffey said.
According to estimates, England uses 1.1 billion single-use plates and 4.25 billion items of single-use cutlery — most of which are plastic — per year, but only 10% are recycled upon disposal. (ILKHA)
