The protests held in Jisr Al-Shughour city in western Idlib and surrounding villages, Taftnaz, Atmah, the camps of Al-Karamah, Killi and other areas in Idlib countryside, Qabaseen, Azaz, Al-Ra’i Al-Bab and Suran in the northern and eastern countryside of Aleppo and Tel Abyad in the northern countryside Al-Raqqah, according to local sources.

On Friday, the Syrian opposition groups called for protests in several areas in the Syrian north on Friday on social media, under the slogan of “Never will we reconcile” to express their refusal to reconciliation and the normalization with the regime and the Turkish-Syrian rapprochement.

In October 2022, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad at the Non-Aligned Movement summit, and relations between the two countries' intelligence agencies were resumed.

Cavusoglu publicly announced this in August 2022 and called for reconciliation between the Syrian government and the opposition.

In a major breakthrough, on December 28th, both countries' defense ministers and intelligence chiefs met in Moscow, and the talks were described as fruitful. (ILKHA)
