Türkiye’s annual inflation down to 64.27—statistical agency
Consumer price index (CPI) realized as 64.27% annually and 1.18% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Tuesday.
A change in general index was realized in CPI on the previous month by 1.18%, on December of the previous year by 64.27%, on same month of the previous year by 64.27% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 72.31% in December 2022.
Clothing and footwear with 25.87% was the main group that indicated the lowest annual increase. On the other hand, housing with 79.83% was the main group where the highest annual increase realized.
In December 2022, transportation with -4.14% was the main group that indicated the lowest monthly increase. On the other hand, health with 5.91% was the main group where the highest monthly increase realized.
In December 2022, within indices of 144 basic headings (Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose-COICOP 5 Digit Level) in the index, the index of 24 basic headings decreased and the index of 9 basic headings remained unchanged while the index of 111 basic headings increased. (ILKHA)
