Morocco decides to extend health emergency status to January 31
The Moroccan government decided on Thursday to extend the health state of emergency to Jan. 31, the country's state news agency reported.
The decision comes following a hike in COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health state of emergency will last until January 31, in an effort to combat the outbreak of Covid-19.
On Wednesday, Morocco reported 66 new Covid-19 cases, raising the total of cases since the beginning of the outbreak to 1.271.440.
So far, at least 16.294 people have died from Covid-19 in the country, according to the health ministry. (ILKHA)
