A 4.8 magnitude earthquake strikes Greece
A magnitude 4.8 earthquake hit northeast of Chalkida on Evia, Greece's second-largest island, on Wednesday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.

The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter.
The quake was felt in the capital Athens around 65 km (40 miles) to the south of the island.
