One killed, 15 injured after 17 cars crash in pile-up in central Iran
One person was killed and 15 others were injured on Wednesday when more than a dozen vehicles crashed in a pileup in the central Iranian city of Arak, Markazi province.
The incident unfolded when visibility was severely impacted due to fog, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported.
The accident involved several collisions between 10 sedans, five semi-trailer trucks, and two trucks, on the road from Arak to Salafchegan in the northern province of Qom.
The pileup was initially caused by a truck and a sedan skidding into each other due to the heavy fog and slippery road, according to local sources. (ILKHA)
