Vladimir Putin says he’s ready to negotiate peace over war in Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow is ready to negotiate with all parties involved in the war in Ukraine.
“Russia's geopolitical opponents are aiming to tear apart Russia, the historical Russia. Divide and conquer, that's what they have always sought to accomplish and are still seeking to do. But our goal is different: it's to unite the Russian people,” President Vladimir Putin said in an interview that aired on Sunday.
“We are ready to negotiate with everyone involved about acceptable solutions, but that is up to them – we are not the ones refusing to negotiate, they are,” Putin added.
The comments from the Russian President Putin came as Russian forces intensively shelled the Ukrainian city of Kherson that killed at least 10 people and injured more than 50 others. (ILKHA)
