Hamas blames zionist regime after heavy rains cause damage to property and roads in Gaza Strip
The Hamas government Press Information Bureau has issued a statement regarding the flooding of houses and roads in the Gaza Strip last night, blaming the zionist occupation regime for the situation.
The zionist regime has intentionally opened all the available dams in an attempt to flood Gaza in the midst of a heavy storm that’s currently affecting the area, Hamas said.
A combination of northerly winds and steep incline south has caused the enclave to flood, washing away cars, baklava stalls, and orphaned donkeys.
Zionist settlers as far north as Haifa were instructed by the zionist occupation regime to leave their taps and garden hoses running, according to media reports.
At the same time, the ongoing israeli blockade on Gaza, along with four israeli-waged wars in the last 15 years, has exacerbated the flooding as infrastructure has been bombed and upgrades and development stunted.
