Iranian intelligence arrests members of four Mossad-affiliated teams
Iran’s Intelligence Ministry said four operative teams linked to the israeli regime’s Mossad spy agency were arrested in the country.
“The Zionist criminal regime, taking advantage of the recent riots over the past weeks in several parts of Iran, intended to conduct several hybrid terrorist operations by directing operative teams, it added, but all the terrorists were arrested before taking any action,” the Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry also added that it has also obtained information about a Mossad ringleader in one European country, noting that more details will be given immediately after the completion of the investigation.
Iran has seen massive protests over the death in police custody of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who had been arrested by the Guidance Patrol for violating Iran's mandatory hijab law by wearing her hijab improperly while visiting Tehran from Saqqez.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei dismissed the widespread unrest not only as “riots” but also as a “hybrid war” caused by foreign states and dissidents abroad. (ILKHA)
