Internet Explorer will be disabled in February, Microsoft says
Internet Explorer will be disabled through a Microsoft Edge update in February 2023, Microsoft announced on Friday.
“The retired, out-of-support Internet Explorer 11 desktop application is scheduled to be permanently disabled through a Microsoft Edge update on certain versions of Windows 10 on February 14, 2023,” Microsoft said.
“We highly recommend setting up IE mode in Microsoft Edge and disabling IE11 prior to this date to ensure your organization does not experience business disruption,” the company added.
Internet Explorer is a series of graphical web browsers developed by Microsoft which was used in the Windows line of operating systems.
Starting in 1995, It was first released as part of the add-on package Plus! for Windows 95 that year. (ILKHA)
