Russian President Putin hold phone conversation with Indian PM
Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi on Friday.
“While expressing satisfaction with the high level of bilateral cooperation that has been developing on the basis of the Russian-Indian privileged strategic partnership, the two leaders discussed in detail the prospects for practical cooperation in mutual investment, energy, agriculture, transport, and logistics,” the Kremlin said in a statement. “
Two leaders also noted “the importance of maintaining close coordination within international organizations, including with regard to India’s commenced chairmanship in the G20 and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.”
“At Narendra Modi’s request, Vladimir Putin gave a principled assessment regarding Russia’s policy in Ukraine”, the statement added. (ILKHA)
