Palestinian health ministry affirmed that the two brothers Jawad Al-Rimawi, 22, and Thafer Al-Rimawi, 21, were shot and killed by zionist occupation forces (ZOF) in Kafr Ein town, northwest of Ramallah.

The ministry earlier declared that Mofeed Muhammad Akhalil, 44, succumbed to the head injuries he sustained at dawn Tuesday during an Israeli raid into Beit Ummar town in al-Khalil.

According to local sources, dozens of ZOF jeeps stormed the town amid heavy gunfire, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes with local youths.

22 youths were injured during the clashes, including nine who were wounded by live fire, six suffered breathing problems from tear gas bombs and five were injured by rubber bullets and two were injured for falling while being chased by ZOF vehicles.

The health ministry affirmed that nine Palestinians were wounded by live fire. One of them later succumbed to his injuries.

Zionist army radio claimed that the clashes broke out after two army vehicles got stuck in the town due to mechanical issues.

Zionist military reinforcements later arrived in the town to remove the two jeeps, the army radio added.

Tensions have been surging for months in the occupied West Bank amid a rise in Israeli raids and settler attacks.

For his part, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said that “the terrorist occupation army is expanding its aggression, killing three of our Palestinian people, including two brothers, in the West Bank.”

“The Zionist occupation is trying desperately to stop our people's legitimate struggle to restore their land and freedom through killings and assassinations, but this blood will only be a fuel for our people's revolution and continuous uprising,” he added. (ILKHA)
