Turkish President Erdoğan to visit Uzbekistan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will visit the Uzbek city of Samarkand on November 10-11, to attend the 9th Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States to be held under the theme of “New Era for the Turkic Civilization: Towards Common Development and Prosperity”.
“During the Summit, where the term presidency will be passed on from Türkiye to Uzbekistan, potential steps aimed at improving the cooperation among the member states in every area will be addressed, and important decisions will be taken regarding the Organization’s functioning and future, particularly the Strategy Document that will constitute the first five-year implementation guide of the Vision Document, which was adopted at the Istanbul Summit held on November 12, 2021, and which represents the 20-year roadmap of the Organization,” the Turkish Presidency said in a statement.
Erdoğan will address the Summit session on November 11, Friday, and hold bilateral talks with leaders on the sidelines of the meeting, according to the statement. (ILKHA)
