Construction costs rise by 119 percent in Türkiye—statistical agency
The construction cost index increased by 119.83% annually and by 1.57% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Thursday.
In September 2022, the construction cost index (CCI) increased by 1.57% compared with the previous month and increased by 119.83% compared with the same month of the previous year. The material index increased by 2.07% and the labor index decreased by 0.07% compared with the previous month. Also, the material index increased by 133.40%, and the labor index increased by 84.04% compared with the previous year.

The building construction cost index increased by 2.10% compared with the previous month and increased by 117.11% compared with the same month of the previous year. The material index increased by 2.82% and the labor index decreased by 0.17% compared with the previous month. Also, the material index increased by 129.87%, and the labor index increased by 84.15% compared with the previous year.
The construction cost index for civil engineering increased by 129.18% annually and decreased by 0.13% monthly
The construction cost index for civil engineering decreased by 0.13% compared with the previous month and increased by 129.18% compared with the same month of the previous year. The material index decreased by 0.24% and the labor index increased by 0.30% compared with the previous month.
