Erdoğan meets with teachers on the occasion of November 24 Teacher's Day
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with teachers from Türkiye’s 81 provinces at a luncheon held at the Presidential Complex on the occasion of November 24 Teachers’ Day.
Erdoğan addressed the teachers at the luncheon. “Welcome to the Presidential Complex, home of our nation. I wish November 24 Teachers’ Day may lead to auspicious outcomes for all our teachers, our country and our nation. Before you, I once again thank all our teachers in our country on my and my nation’s behalf,” Erdoğan said.
Remembering all the teachers, who had lost their lives due to terror, particularly Arzu Özsoy who had died a martyr’s death during the attack in İstiklal Street, and Ayşenur Alkan who had been martyred in Karkamış, Erdoğan drew attention to the martyrs’ monument inaugurated earlier in the day, and noted: “We will not allow the 191 heroes, whose names have honorably gone down in our national education history with the sacrifices they had displayed. Likewise, we will continue to bring these villains, who have murdered our teachers, to account for every drop of blood they have shed. With the air operations they have been carrying out in the north of Iraq and Syria, our armed forces are razing to the ground the terror hotbeds where attacks are planned and organized.”
“We will uninterruptedly continue our operations inside and outside our borders until the terror threat to our country is completely eliminated,” Erdoğan stressed. (ILKHA)
