Thieves steal Celtic gold coins worth US$1.65 million from museum in Germany
Thieves have stolen Celtic gold coins worth about US$1.65 million from a museum in Germany.
The coins were stolen from the museum in Manching, Bavaria, in the middle of the night in a nine-minute raid, police said.
“The museum's automated alarm system triggered an alarm. However, this was not transmitted to the security center of the security company due to the failure of the telephone and Internet supply. The data carriers of the video recordings in the museum have been saved and will be evaluated afterward,” said Guido Limmer, the deputy head of Bavaria’s State Criminal Police Office. (ILKHA)
