Death toll from Indonesia's earthquake rises to 252
The death toll from the earthquake that struck Indonesia's main island of Java rose to 252 as more bodies were discovered beneath the rubble, authorities said.
The local government said in an Instagram post on Tuesday that 31 people are still missing and 377 were injured, while the number of people displaced has reached 7,060.
On Monday, at 13:21 local time, a 5.6 earthquake struck near Cianjur in West Java, Indonesia.
More than 2,300 homes were damaged in Cianjur, according to local reports.
The earthquake was strongly felt in Jakarta, prompting people in high-rise buildings to flee. (ILKHA)
