Türkiye’s agricultural input price index sees a 138-percent annual increase
The agricultural input price index increased by 138.15% annually and 2.90% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Monday.
Agriculture-IPI increased by 2.90% compared to the previous month, increased by 91.85% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 138.15% compared to the same month of the previous year, and increased by 97.41% compared to twelve months moving averages, in September.
Monthly changes by main groups, goods, and services currently consumed in the agricultural index increased by 2.89% and goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 2.91%. The goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 95.12% and the goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 145.02% compared to same month of the previous year.
Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower annual change observed in 7 subgroups while 4 subgroups were higher
Subgroups that indicated low increase were veterinary expenses with 38.73% and other goods and services with 66.12%. On the other hand, fertilizer and soil improvers with 226.63% and energy; lubricants with 193.88% were the subgroups that high annual increase realized.
Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower monthly change observed in 5 subgroups while 6 subgroups were higher
Animal feedingstuffs with 0.27% and maintenance of materials with 0.59% were the subgroups that indicated low monthly increase. On the other hand, seeds and planting stock with 19.71% and energy; lubricants with 6.62% were the subgroups that high monthly increase realized. (ILKHA)
