Hamas slams Azerbaijan for opening embassy in Tel Aviv
The member of Hamas’s political bureau Basem Naim has denounced the Azerbaijani decision to open an embassy in Tel Aviv.
“This step has come as the Zionists have recently decided to choose a terrorist, extremist and fascist government that threatens to commit the most heinous crimes against our people, holy sites, and prisoners and declares its intent to wage a religious war based on myths and distorted books,” Naim said in press remarks on Saturday.
Naim also said that the israeli occupation state had exploited for long years such decisions as cover to persist in depriving the Palestinian people of their most basic rights, stealing their land, and Judaizing their holy sites.
The Hamas official urged the Azerbaijani parliament and government to reconsider their decision to open an embassy in 1948-occupied Palestine and take the necessary steps to support the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom and independence. (ILKHA)
