The seasonally adjusted employment rate occurred as 47.5% without any change. In addition, this rate was 64.9% for men, 30.5% for women.

The seasonally adjusted labor force participation rate realized as 52.8%

The seasonally adjusted labor force decreased by 111 thousand persons to 34 million 220 thousand persons in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter and the seasonally adjusted labor force participation rate was 52.8% with 0.4 percentage point decrease. The Labor force participation rate was estimated 71.1% for men and 34.9% for women.

The seasonally adjusted youth unemployment rate was 19.1%

The seasonally adjusted youth unemployment rate in the 15-24 age group was 19.1% with 0.8 percentage point decrease compared to the previous quarter.

The unemployment rate in this age group was estimated as 16.1% for men and 24.7% for women.

56.7% of seasonally adjusted employment was in the services sector

 In the third quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter, the number of seasonally adjusted agricultural employment decreased by 26 thousand persons, industry decreased by 107 thousand persons while construction increased by 8 thousand persons, and services increased by 247 thousand persons. According to the distribution of employment by sector; 15.8% was employed in agriculture, 21.6% was employed in industry, 5.9% was employed in construction and 56.7% was employed in services.

Seasonally and calendar-adjusted average weekly actual working hours was 43.7

Seasonally and calendar-adjusted average weekly actual working hours of persons at work during the reference period decreased by 0.4 hours and estimated 43.7 hours compared to the previous quarter in the third quarter of 2022.

Seasonally adjusted composite measure of labor underutilization rate realized as 20.9%

The rate of composite measure of labor underutilization consisting of time-related underemployment, potential labor force and unemployment was 20.9% with a decrease of 0.5 percentage points in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter. While the combined rate of time-related underemployment and unemployment realized as 14.2%, the combined rate of unemployment and potential labor force realized as 17.1%. (ILKHA)
