Two dead in Italy firefighter plane crash
Two pilots were killed after a firefighter aircraft crashed while tackling a forest fire at Mount Calcinera in Sicily.
The Canadair CL-215/415 crashed on Thursday afternoon while dropping water on a wildfire on the slopes of the volcano Etna near Linguaglossa, Sicily, Italy, local sources said.
The plane belonged to the Vigili del Fuoco, Italy's state civil firefighting agency. (ILKHA)
