“The meeting reflects the renewed spirit of resistance in response to the Israeli plots in the region,” al-Hayya said in a press conference on Wednesday following the Palestinian factions’ officials meeting with President Al-Assad in Damascus.

Al-Hayya underlined that such a meeting was a new start for joint Palestinian-Syrian work, adding that President Al-Assad was very determined to support the Palestinian people and resistance.

He affirmed that the Movement is interested in restoring ties with the Syrian government, voicing his Movement’s complete support of a united Syrian people.

Earlier in September, Hamas reiterated its quest to restore ties with the Syrian Arab Republic to serve the interest of the Arab and Islamic Ummah, above all the Palestinian cause, especially in light of the escalating regional and international developments concerning the Palestinian cause. (ILKHA)
