China launches remote sensing satellite into space
The China Space Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) announced it has successfully launched a remote-sensing satellite into space for scientific exploration.
The satellite, Yaogan-36, was launched by a Long March-2D carrier rocket at 3:12 a.m. (Beijing Time) on Saturday and entered the planned orbit successfully, the China Space Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) said.
Yaogan, remote sensing satellite, is a broad term used by the People's Republic of China to refer to its military reconnaissance satellites. (ILKHA)
