Türkiye and Qatar sign 11 agreements
Erdoğan and Emir Sheikh Tamim of Qatar presided over the eighth meeting of the Türkiye-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee following their tête-à-tête at the Dolmabahçe Presidential Working Office.
Eleven new cooperation agreements in various fields and the Joint Statement of the eighth meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee were signed in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamid Al Thani of Qatar.
The meeting was followed by the signing of agreements between the two countries in the presence of President Erdoğan and Emir Sheikh Tamim of Qatar.
The Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun and Qatar's Ambassador to Ankara Mohammed bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani signed the “Cooperation Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the State of Qatar in the field of Media and Communications,” as well as the “Cooperation Protocol between the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) and Qatar TV.”
Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş and Minister of Public Health Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari of Qatar inked the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Halal Accreditation Agency of Türkiye and the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) of Qatar on Halal Quality Infrastructure.”
Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank and Minister of Commerce and Industry Mohammed bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar signed the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office of the Republic of Türkiye and the Intellectual Property Rights Protection Department of Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Cooperation in the Protection of Industrial Property Rights.”
The “Agreement between the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) of the Republic of Türkiye and the Communications Regulatory Authority of the State of Qatar on the Mutual Inclusion of the Service Areas of the Satellite Networks regulated by the Radio Regulation Annex 30B” was signed by Minister of Transport Adil Karaismailoğlu and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirişci and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Al Thani of Qatar signed the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the State of Qatar on Food Safety.”
Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Al Thani of Qatar signed the “Memorandum of Understanding on Disaster and Emergency Management and Humanitarian Aid between the Ministry of Interior Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and the Qatar Development Fund.”
The “Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the State of Qatar on Construction Works” was signed by Minister of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change Murat Kurum and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Al Thani of Qatar.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Minister of Culture Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar signed the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the State of Qatar on Establishment, Operation and Activities of Cultural Centres.”
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Al Thani of Qatar signed the “Cooperation Protocol between Yunus Emre Institute and Qatar Museums.”
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Al Thani of Qatar signed the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar on Cooperation in the Field of Diplomatic Archives.”
After the signing of the agreements, Çavuşoğlu and Al Thani signed the Joint Statement of the eighth meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the Republic of Türkiye and the State of Qatar. (ILKHA)
