Iran summons UK ambassador over sanctions
Iranian Foreign Ministry has summoned the British ambassador in Tehran, Simon Shercliff, for London's new sanctions against Tehran.
“Following the announcement of arbitrary and baseless British sanctions against several officials and units of an institution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the ambassador of this country was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs an hour ago by the Director General of Western Europe,” the Ministry said.
The ministry strongly condemned the UK’s arbitrary and baseless sanctions against Tehran.
“The ambassador was informed that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves its right to take countermeasures,” the Ministry added. (ILKHA)
