Turkiye's annual inflation rises to 83.45% in September—statistical agency
Consumer price index (CPI) realized as 83.45% annually and 3.08% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Monday.
A change in general index was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 3.08%, on December of the previous year by 52.40%, on same month of the previous year by 83.45% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 59.91% in September 2022.
Communication with 30.76% was the main group that indicated the lowest annual increase. On the other hand, transportation with 117.66% was the main group where the highest annual increase realized.
In September 2022, alcoholic beverages and tobacco with 0.04% was the main group that indicated the lowest monthly increase. On the other hand, housing with 9.99% was the main group where the highest monthly increase realized.
In September 2022, within indices of 144 basic headings (Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose-COICOP 5 Digit Level) in the index, the index of 18 basic headings decreased and the index of 2 basic headings remained unchanged while the index of 124 basic headings increased.

A change in CPI excluding unprocessed food, energy, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and gold was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 2.74%, on December of the previous year by 45.84%, on same month of the previous year by 74.63% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 51.92% in September 2022.
