At least 19 killed, about 30 injured in suicide bombing at Kabul education center
An explosion at an educational center in Kabul, Afghanistan, killed at least 19 people and injured about 30 others.
“According to initial reports, 19 people were martyred and 27 others were wounded in the attack on the "Kaj" educational center this morning in the 13th District of Kabul,” Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdul Nafee Thakur wrote in a statement on Twitter.
He said that the explosion targeted the students who had gathered in the educational center in order to take a trial examination.
In videos social media platforms, the injured can be seen being carried away from the scene.
The explosion occurred in the Dasht-e-Barchi neighborhood western Kabul home to the minority Hazara community, the scene of some of Afghanistan's most deadly attacks. (ILKHA)
