“We are deeply saddened by the death and injury of many people in the terrorist attack in Burkina Faso's Soum province,” Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“We strongly condemn this heinous attack, offer our sincere condolences to the friendly and brotherly people of Burkina Faso as well as to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives, and wish the injured a speedy recovery,” the Ministry added.

On Monday, at least 11 soldiers were killed and 50 civilians were missing after armed fighters attacked a 150-vehicle military-escorted convoy taking supplies to a town in northern Burkina Faso. (ILKHA)
