Turkiye condemns deadly attack targeting Somali military in Mogadishu
Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a press release regarding the deadly attack in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
“We are deeply saddened to learn that many people lost their lives and were injured in the terror attack targeting the General Dhagabadan military facility that took place on 25 September in Mogadishu, Somalia,” the Ministry said.
“We condemn the heinous terrorist attack in the strongest possible terms and wish Allah's mercy upon those who lost their lives, extend our condolences to the relatives as well as to the friendly and brotherly Government and people of Somalia, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” the Ministry added.
The Ministry also reiterated Turkiye’s support for “Somalia's fight against terrorism with all her means.”
On Sunday morning, at least 15 people were killed when a suicide bomber targeted the General Dhagabadan military facility, which is used for the training of Somali National Army, who are critical in the fight against Al Shabaab. (ILKHA)
