HÜDA PAR: Türkiye must stand against China's oppression of Uyghurs
HÜDA PAR Spokesperson Serkan Ramanlı said that the humanitarian crisis in East Turkestan, where China almost carried out genocide, is getting worse with each passing day.
“Lastly, there have been images showing that the Chinese administration has committed the 'Hunger Genocide' against Muslim Uyghurs by using the quarantine in East Turkestan as an excuse. The silence on China's cultural, religious and ethnic assimilation policies causes further persecution in the region,” Ramanlı said in his party’s weekly statement.
“It is shameful that Islamic countries even hesitate to condemn the persecution in the region due to China's economic hegemony. Finally, in Turkey, law enforcement intervened against East Turkistanis who wanted to condemn China's persecution. It is unacceptable to prevent the people's right to protest while the government does not even make any statement against China's oppression. Turkey, with its people and administration, must stand against Chinese oppression.”
Conflicts between Azerbaijan and Armenia
Noting that the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia two years ago resulted in the withdrawal of Armenia, which had occupied the lands of Nagorno-Karabakh for 30 years, Ramanlı said: "A ceasefire and agreement was reached after the defeated Armenia in the war accepted the conditions. During the past period, Armenia has adhered to the articles of the agreement and even made attempts to restart relations with Turkey, which supports Azerbaijan militarily and politically. However, with the attack of the Armenian soldiers on the night of September 12, clashes between the armed forces of both countries resumed and both sides suffered heavy losses.”
“It should be known that the resumption of conflicts is not in the interest of both countries and our geography. This situation will not contribute to the solution of existing problems. The recent history of Armenia is full of great suffering due to the false promises and provocations of the West. Armenia should learn from its recent history. We call on both countries to resolve their problems within the framework of justice and good neighborly relations,” Ramanlı concluded. (ILKHA)
