Agricultural input costs in Türkiye rises by 133.41%--stats agency
Agricultural input price index increased by 133.41% annually and 1.31% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a statement on Wednesday.
Agriculture-IPI (2015=100) increased by 1.31% compared to previous month, increased by 83.43% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 133.41% compared to same month of the previous year and increased by 79.72% compared to twelve months moving averages, in July 2022.
Monthly changes by main groups, goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 0.71% and goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 6.44%. The goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 82.16% and the goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 141.75% compared to same month of the previous year.
Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower annual change observed in 7 subgroups while 4 subgroups were higher
Subgroups that indicated low increase were veterinary expenses with 33.90% and seeds and planting stock with 51.82%. On the other hand, fertilizer and soil improvers with 234.88% and energy; lubricants with 201.13% were the subgroups that high annual increase realized.
Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower monthly change observed in 3 subgroups while 8 subgroups were higher
Animal feedingstuffs with 1.22% and maintenance of materials with 1.50% were subgroups that indicated low monthly increase.
On the other hand, materials with 6.57% and fertilizer and soil improvers with 6.47% were the subgroups that high monthly increase realized. Energy; lubricants with 4.72% and other goods and services with 0.28% were the subgroups that monthly decrease observed. (ILKHA)
