60,000 Muslim worshipers perform Friday prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque
About 60,000 Palestinian Muslims gathered at al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem to perform Friday prayer in its courtyards amid strict israeli measures.
According to the Islamic Endowments Department, 60,000 Muslim worshipers performed Friday prayer at the Mosque.
Meanwhile, the zionist police were deployed in the streets of the occupied city and prevented Palestinians from the West Bank from accessing the Mosque to perform prayers. Nevertheless, several thousands of them managed to reach the holy site.
Earlier in the morning, thousands performed dawn prayer at the holy site despite israeli tight restrictions.
Since the early hours of dawn, thousands of Palestinians gathered at the gates of the al-Aqsa Mosque on their way to attend the dawn prayer, confirming the Palestinians’ spiritual links to the holy site.
Similar gatherings were also reported in Nablus, al-Khalil, and Jenin, amid massive participation of Palestinian families including women and children. (ILKHA)
