“As has been the case in every area in the past two decades, we have introduced a century’s worth of services, works and projects in social housing in Türkiye,” President Erdoğan underscored, and added that a total of 1.17 million houses, 90 per cent of which was social housing, had been built through TOKI during that period.
“We have built giant hospitals equipped with all the requirements of the time, tens of thousands of places of work, thousands of public buildings, stadiums and hundreds of social and cultural facilities for people of every segment of society. We have attached special importance to protecting our natural, historical and cultural heritage, which are the most important elements that make a city ‘city’. We have taken the steps that will take our homes, stores and squares, which bring us together with our past and which have high architectural value, to the future in the most undoubted manner.” (ILKHA)
