Britain’s Queen Elizabeth under medical supervision at Balmoral
Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has been placed under medical supervision at Balmoral after doctors became concerned for her health, Buckingham Palace said on Thursday.
“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
Elizabeth II, 96, became Queen of the United Kingdom and of 14 other sovereign countries when her father died in February 1952.
She is the longest-lived and longest-reigning British monarch, the oldest and longest-serving incumbent head of state, and is considered the second-longest reigning sovereign monarch in world history. (ILKHA)
