Kabul calls on US to remove its drones from Afghan sky
Amir Khan Muttaqi Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan called on the United States to remove its drones from Afghanistan.
In a press conference Afghan Foreign Ministry at the government Media and Information Center shared the Ministry one year accomplishment on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was able to assure many countries in the world to keep their embassies active in Kabul or to reopen them and to promote and strengthen diplomatic ties with the world countries, Muttaqi noted.
He said that more facilities provided for national businessmen of the country in the export and import sector, adding that Afghanistan’s dry and fresh fruits were exported to foreign countries by air and land to aboard.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs build good relationship with many institutions and aid organizations to continue their activities in Afghanistan transparently and without government interference, adding that these organizations have played their roles effectively in attracting to provide more humanitarian aid to earthquake and flood victims in Afghanistan, officials of the Ministry said.
According to the Ministry information more than one billion Afghans have been collected in revenue from the consular services of the ministry during a year.
Minister Muttaqi called its trips to the neighboring countries positive in terms economic and humanitarian aid interaction.
He said that Afghan embassies were reopened in Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan, Qatar, China, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan, and new diplomats were appointed along with former diplomats, adding that their embassies are in services in these countries.
He added that a number of countries such as Russia, Iran, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, China, India kept their embassies active in Afghanistan.
He said that air flights to Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Qatar have been resumed in the past year, and visa facilities have been provided for businessmen and investors.
He called the holding of the recent conference to attract the help of organizations, international institutions and countries for the victims of natural disasters as another achievement of the ministry and said that in this conference the countries pledged to help the people of Afghanistan.
He added that within a year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs opened its agencies to provide services in the provinces of Badakhshan, Kunduz, Balkh, and Herat, and these agencies are connected with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Many diplomats, foreign ministers and special representatives of countries have visited Afghanistan in one year and this is one of the important achievements of this ministry, Muttaqi added.
In regarding the violation of airspace by American planes, he said that recently Afghanistan’s airspace has been violated by American drone planes, and this is against international laws and the Doha Agreement, he said.
In the meantime, he asked the countries not to let anyone to use their soil against Afghanistan and at any time Afghanistan’s soil will not be used against any countries.
Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi said that the US has not yet provided any evidence or documents to the Afghan government to prove the killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri in Kabul.
He said that the investigation of the Afghan government regarding the incident yet to be completed. He said that information regarding the incident would be shared with the public once the investigation concludes.
Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said that until now no country has officially recognized the Islamic Emirate adding that the interactions and trips of the officials of the Islamic Emirate are completely official and a number of countries have accepted our diplomats.
He said that there is no place under the control of ISIS in the whole country and that ISIS has been suppressed in Afghanistan by the security forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. (ILKHA)
