At least 8 dead as 5.3 magnitude earthquake strikes northeastern Afghanistan
A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck Afghanistan Sunday night, leaving at least 8 dead and dozens injured.
Mawlavi Najibullah Hanif, Director of Information and Culture of Kunar and Governor's Spokesman, said that the earthquake in Wadir area of Noor Gul district killed 8 people and destroyed dozens of houses last midnight.
He said that casualties may increase as toll was not clear. (ILKHA)
