Integrity of Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant violated several times, IAEA chief says
Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said he was worried about the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Russian-occupied Enerhodar.
Despite obstruction from Moscow, Rafael Grossi led a team of inspectors to the Russian-controlled plant that has been frequently shelled in recent weeks.
“It is obvious that the plant and physical integrity of the plant has been violated several times,’ Grossi told reporters at the scene, noting that the situation was more predictable now.
IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi will hold a press conference at approximately 20:00 CEST on Friday in the VIP terminal at Vienna airport.
Russia, which has been shelling Ukrainian positions from the plant's territory, has been accused of using it as a shield and a tool of blackmail. (ILKHA)
